My Review: The LAVATO large mermaid tail crocheted blank is absolutely lovely. I got it for a friend who loves mermaids and she is in love with it. It is crocheted with a super soft yarn (don’t know what kind, but it is REALLY soft). It feels as though it will last a while as long as you don’t machine wash it. I was told to not machine wash, but to either dry clean or hand wash the blanket to prevent tearing, and to hang dry it. With it being summer, it’s not a problem to hand wash and hang dry, but in the winter my friend will need to find another solution for hang drying it.
The colors are a lot of blue, and some intermittent purple. The tail is not forming, and it requires fanning out the tail to make it look like a mermaid tail, but it’s open ended and taller people may have their feet poke through the bottom. It’s 76″ tall so it will 99% of the time NOT be a problem, but just in case, I wanted to let people know.
This is a really cool blanket and as I said, my friend is in love with it.
