My Review: This doorbell can get really loud (up to 110 decibels, which is about as loud as a live rock music). It has 52 different chimes, and transmits at over 900ft in open air. However, “Open Air” means no walls, no interference. If you walked down the street 900 feet and had it plugged in, press the button and it would work if it was still in sight.
It comes with mounting screws and double sided tape, if you don’t want to use the screws. It includes the receiver and the door bell transmitter as well as understandable instructions. The receiver is what is ‘battery free’, don’t get confused like I did when I read the title. It plugs into the wall, so of course it’s battery free. The actual button (transmitter) takes a 12v A23 battery (which is included).
Over all, despite the confusing title of the Amazon product, I’d recommend this for any household.
