My Review: This Wansview 720p security camera is really nice in that you can view the camera’s feed by using your phone. I will say that the app needs some work though. However, I’m not reviewing the app. The camera was easy to setup on WiFi. I have WPS disabled on my router, so I had to use the app to connect it to WiFi. That was pretty easy, just point the built in QR reader (in the app) to the QR code on the back of the camera, and it’ll automatically add it to the app. Then simply go through the options that are included in the quick installation guide and you’ll be online in no time.
Unlike a lot of security cameras, this one can be viewed outside of the network, like on mobile or public WiFi without having to use port forwarding and DMZ changes on the router. It utilizes UPNP technologies to automatically open and close ports as necessary.
I’ll definitely recommend this camera for it’s broad viewing capability and it’s ability to be viewed outside the network.
