My Review: This CSRET HDMI Audio Extractor is really really cool. It’s the first time I’ve been able to try one out and really had fun playing with this device. It supports the maximum 4k input and extracts to a 3.5mm jack and a toslink. It allows 2.1CH, 5.1CH, 7.1CH, or ARC audio modes and has an HDMI output as well.
I played around with this and my soundbar and I found that the soundbar actually sounds BETTER with this box than with the 3.5mm jack on the TV to the sound bar. The device itself is quite small, it’s about the size of a newer Roku box. It’s completely black and looks REALLY good. The ports are all spaced apart evenly and is not crowded when you plug everything in.
It’s powered by a 5v/1A DC jack and the cord is decent in size, and comes with a user manual which has really clear instructions on usage. It’s packed really well and allows no wiggle room (it’s surrounded in soft foam).
Really cool gadget and for a good price too!
